When you catch and release a shark, how do you know that it lives? It’s almost impossible to follow that shark afterwards. Most fishermen just assume that the sharks live afterwards. That assumption can be tested though with some pretty interesting science. I caught up with Dr Nick Whitney at Mote Marine Laboratory who showed me what was really happening.
