No more fish? The State of the World's Fisheries

A big thanks to all current and future patrons who are helping fund this science communication outreach via Patreon:

In a 2006 paper in the journal Science, biologists claimed that if current fishing trends continue, all fish stocks will have crashed by 2048. This was a huge wake-up call to many countries around the world, and it made global headlines. Another paper described a trend that we’re fishing down the food web and claimed that pretty soon we’ll only have jellyfish to eat! Should these bold claims be taken seriously?
